One among the Hundred Reasons to Quit Your Job

You have to sweep the floor in your office as the house-keeping staff have been on leave. You need to do this for just ten days; after that, it is expected they would return. Why you? Because you are not having any project to work on; so the management is utilizing the available resources for other streams.

You need not worry about this new job-profile as there will be training session for half an hour by one of your colleagues who used to do this in his tenure of seven years’ service in your renowned organization. By doing so, your appraisal rating will go from one to two for being flexible and doing multi-tasking.

You will be left perplexed to wonder what will come out of it. You are asked to do; there is no other option except submitting your resignation and still doing the same sweeping job in your notice period.

It is sickening when you are forced to some crap while you are hired for some other job. It is not that you do not understand the market condition or the results of recession. It is pure exploitation to misuse a resource in an organization in the name of recession. It would be better if there is lay-off after proper remuneration. You cannot teach them professionalism when they are miles away from managerial and business ethics.

You pledge you will never give this sort of pain to your employees if at all you are entering into the world of entrepreneurship in the future. You will not provide them menial jobs and provoke them to get away from your company. If you fail to meet your employees’ expectations, you will end your dream of commencing a company in the start itself.

I will do what I can; I won’t ask others to do what I would never do. Seriously.
